It's kinda weird to see everybody's facebook page and the pictures of irl, but it's really cool to know who you are.

I suppose the group is going to be used to post funny vids etc?

Because I'd only discuss alliance policy and alike things over here.

I agree, just to get to know each other and communicate. Post anything and everything you want to share. Theres nothing wrong with discussing something from ogame on the group, but 90% of it should stay here.
